The Carolina Peacemaker Store about Monday’s Meeting with neighbors
Neighbors, we need to talk about something important happening in our community. This past Monday, over 350 residents from Hamilton Lakes, Hamilton Forest, and Starmount Forest came together at Westminster Presbyterian Church, united against a proposed townhome community in our area.
The plan is for ‘Hutchinson Court’ – a development of 22 rental townhomes, on what used to be three single-family home lots, now merged into one 4.40-acre tract on Friendly Avenue, near the Friendly Shopping Center.
This rezoning request is a significant concern for us, as it challenges the character of our neighborhood of single-family, detached homes. Let’s stay informed and engaged on this issue. Our community’s character is at stake!
